The 24th Annual Presque Isle Triathlon, presented by the Presque Isle Partnership and managed by ALFA Endurance, returns to Presque Isle State Park this Saturday. The competition begins at 7:30 a.m. at Beach 10, with an awards ceremony scheduled for around 10 a.m.

The race has reached its 500-participant capacity and is officially sold out. Athletes will compete in a 0.35-mile swim, followed by a 13.0-mile bike ride and ending with a 3.1-mile run.

“The Presque Isle Triathlon is a great opportunity to stay active while experiencing Erie's national natural landmark,” said Brian Gildea, founder of ALFA Endurance. All proceeds from the event support Presque Isle State Park and local nonprofit organizations, making it a positive impact throughout the community."

Also taking place Saturday morning is Erie County’s first-ever Bubble Run at Lake Erie Speedway. The family-friendly, non-competitive 5k begins at 8 a.m. and features colorful bubble stations. Participants can enjoy a pre-race party before crossing the finish line into an after-party with music and dancing.
