The 2024 IIJL World Junior Championship concludes tonight with the medal rounds at Erie Insurance Arena. The bronze medal game starts at 5 p.m., followed by the gold medal game at 8 p.m.
The bronze medal game will showcase the U.S. facing off against Poland. With a record of 2-2, the U.S. fell short of defending last year’s championship. Poland heads into tonight’s matchup with a record of 1-3. Erie native and Poland representative Ryan Voll leads the team in scoring with 14 points in four games.
Following the bronze medal game, Canada and Scotland will face off for gold at 8 p.m. Canada, a team that has been in the gold medal game every year since 2016, looks to rebound from last year’s loss to the U.S. Canada comes into this matchup 4-0 and has dominated the preliminary rounds, outscoring their opposition 87-16 in the championship.
Scotland makes its first-ever gold medal game appearance as it looks to knock off the Canadian powerhouse. Scotland comes into the game with a record of 3-1, including an upset over the U.S. in the preliminary round.

The 2024 IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship, hosted by International Indoor Junior Lacrosse (IIJL), features some of the top young talents from Australia, Canada, Poland, Scotland and the U.S.
The independent association of IIJL was founded in 2016 by Member Nations Canada (Canadian Lacrosse League) and the United States (US Indoor Lacrosse) and stands as the only dedicated international event offering indoor lacrosse championships for players aged 20 years or younger.
