Founded in 2005, the American Cornhole Organization serves as the blueprint for the sport of cornhole and sanctions competitive events across the country. ACO Major tournaments award national ranking points and prize payouts, with results contributing toward qualification for the ACO World Championships.
The Erie Major benefits both the sport of cornhole and the region by bringing a nationally recognized tournament to Northwestern Pennsylvania while generating economic impact. By hosting a nationally sanctioned ACO Major, Erie continues to build its reputation as a sports destination equipped to welcome tournaments that generate ongoing visitor traffic.
