The Imagine National Dance Challenge, hosted by Star Dance Alliance, will take center stage at the Bayfront Convention Center this Friday and Saturday for its final regular season event.
A total of 150 dancers from studios across New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania will come together for a weekend filled with performance excellence and artistic expression. Competition will run on Friday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., and will pick back up Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
“Events like the Imagine National Dance Challenge bring incredible talent and energy to Erie’s community,” said Shaun Moe, Star Dance Alliance’s event organizer. “We’re excited to welcome dancers and families to Erie and showcase everything our team has to offer.”
This nationally recognized dance competition showcases a full range of all performing arts styles, including jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, contemporary, tap and more. Dancers from ages three to 19 will perform in front of experienced judges, competing for top honors.
Star Dance Alliance is also a corporate partner with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) and has raised over $250k over the past year for the organization.
