Erie Gears Up for The Motordrome on the Bay This September

The Motordrome on the Bay is coming to Erie for the first time at the Lake Erie Speedway on Saturday, Sept. 26, featuring high-speed antique motorcycle racing.

The race runs from noon to 3 p.m., with a VIP meet-and-greet session running from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The Motordrome on the Bay is an antique motorcycle track race where vintage motorcycles charge around the oval at full speed without brakes.

There will be five racing classes participating, with motorcycle personality Danger Dan serving as emcee for the event.

“We are excited to introduce Erie to The Motordrome on the Bay,” said Kelsey Jackson, race director for The Motordrome on the Bay. “This event brings something truly unique to the area and gives the community a chance to experience the excitement of antique motorcycle racing up close.”

General admission is $25 per person, with free admission for those 16 and under. To purchase tickets, click here.

VIP tickets are $75 and include early access, a meet-and-greet including autograph opportunities, an up-close look at the antique motorcycles and premium seating.

Registration for the Motordrome on the Bay is also open. Riders can test their skill, connect with fellow enthusiasts and experience antique motorcycles firsthand. Registration is $350 per rider. To register, click here.
