The Firefighter Challenge United States National Championship
The Firefighter Challenge United States National Championship is coming to Erie Sept. 23-26 in Perry Square. Admission for the event is FREE!
Firefighters from aross the country will take on a demanding course that includes climbing, hose handling, forcible entry, rescue simulations, and other tasks designed to mirror real life emergency scenarios. ESPN has named this event the "toughest two minutes in sports."
The Firefighter Challenge League (FCL) is the first official sporting league of its kind designed exclusively for junior, explorer, cadet, rookie, veteran, retired, volunteer, military, or career firefighters, fire departments, and firefighter training centers interested in our exciting competition style programs.

Wednesday Sept. 23: Open Practice @ 7 a.m. | Individual Category Qualifying Rounds @ 8 a.m.
Thursday Sept. 24: Open Practice @ 7 a.m. | Individual Category Qualifying Rounds @ 8 a.m. | Tandem Team Category Title Championship @ 1 p.m.
Friday Sept. 25: Open Practice @ 7:30 a.m. | Local Corporate Team Run @ 9 a.m. | Relay Category Championship Event @ 9:30 a.m.
Saturday sept. 26: Open practice @ 7 a.m. | Open Ceremony @ 8:30 a.m. | Individual Category Championship Title Finale @ 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

The Firefighter Challenge United States National Championship is looking for volunteers! There are five opportunities to choose from (these positions are physically demanding):TOWER STATION, KEISER FORCE MACHINE STATION, HOSE ADVANCE STATION, RESCUE MANIKIN STATION, and FINISH LINE.
Erie Otters Fan Fest
Make a Day Out of It!
The Erie Otters are hosting the home opener aganist the Kitchner Rangers on Saturday following The Firefighter Challenge United States National Championship.
The Erie Otters Fan Fest begins at 2 p.m. with free admission and will include live music, local food trucks, vendor booths, kid-friendly entertainment, a player red carpet entrance, and 5,000 rall towels distributed for the 30th anniversary season.
After the Fan Fest, keep the entertainment going by attending the first game of the Erie Otters' 30th anniversary season. Purchase your ticket and watch the Otters take on the Rangers.
