Can you beat the beast? Barber Beast on the Bay returns for its 11th year on Sept. 6 at Presque Isle State Park. Conquer the 10-mile course on different terrain and water with more than 30 obstacles to complete for beginners and the experienced.
The Beast also features a 1-mile adapted course that shares a finish line with the 10-mile course, so everyone completes the Beast and celebrates their victory together!
Unable to take on the Beast, but still want to support? Form a cheering squad to raise money for the Barber National Institute and cheer on the inspiring athletes throughout the course.
Check-in begins at 6:30 a.m. at the Waldameer Picnic Grove. The first wave that competes is the Elite Wave at 8:30 a.m. followed by three timed waves at 8:45, 9 and 9:15 a.m. After the first three waves, there is a non-timed wave every 15 minutes until 11:30 a.m.
