Kayak Anglers of Western PA starts its BASS on the Bay event Saturday, May 11. The competition will take place on Presque Isle Bay.
Participants must fish from human powered kayaks, single-person canoes or SUPs. The tournament is a catch-photograph-release event, with all fish measured and scored digitally.
Kayak Anglers operates to foster relationships in the kayak fishing community, with objectives including cleaning waterways and improving waterway access, giving to related charities and building the community through sustainable catch-photograph-release tournaments. The Western PA Chapter will host seven tournaments in 2024, including the annual Shriner's Team Challenge in Erie on May 12.
The tournament is open to any interested angler. Registration is $55 for members of Kayak Anglers, and $65 for non-members.
