ERIE SPORTS COMMISSION INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
It's what you know AND who you know!
The ESC offers college students a valuable opportunity to get an inside view of the sports business world each semester through our internship program. Interns work side-by-side with the Erie Sports Commission staff on a variety of tasks in the fields of event management, marketing and communications. Our internships allow students to work directly with knowledgeable and experienced sports executives, learning first-hand all that goes in to sports event acquisition.
Interns work with ESC staff to produce event research, create content for ESC social media platforms, assist in event promotions and gain hands-on experience working at sporting events in Erie County. Scheduled hours are based on the student's schedule, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Please contact Emily Biddle with any questions.
The ESC is currently seeking two interns for the summer 2021 semester: a Social Media and Communications Intern and Event Operations Intern. Internships will be hybrid due to the pandemic, with some hours being completed independently at home, some in our office and some at events.
Applications for summer 2021 are due by March 24.

"I would like to stress how thankful I am for the opportunity I was given to intern with the Erie Sports Commission. The experience I had was very beneficial and I cannot thank the staff enough. The development of interns into professionals is a key value of the program. Looking back I have realized how spoiled I was with the amount of trust and need they give their interns! Thank you!" (Alec Buckiso, Spring 2018 Intern, Mercyhurst University)
