Marketing and Communications Director
Emily Biddle joined the Erie Sports Commission staff as the organization's first Communications Manager in July 2014, after previously serving as an administrative volunteer to the organization. She was promoted to Marketing and Communications Director in January 2020.
Biddle’s prior experience includes a variety of communications-based roles, including positions at the Oil City YMCA and The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh. She was also previously an assistant coach for the Eastside YMCA Swim Team, and Oil City Area YMCA Swim Team, where she began her own athletic career in the pool.
She serves in a number of volunteer roles, including on the Board of Directors for Cultures, Festivals, Arts and Events of Erie (CAFE), VP of Marketing for CelebrateErie, Board Vice President for the Erie Metropolitan Chapter of the PA Sports Hall of Fame and member of Kuhl Hose Volunteer Fire Department. She was named as one of the Erie Reader's "40 Under 40" in June 2021.
Biddle has a Master of Science degree in Sports Leadership from Duquesne University and a Bachelor of the Arts degree in English Writing and Communications from the University of Pittsburgh. She lives with her husband and dog, Rudy, in Greene Township.
